AFC Championship TD Dance Picks: Bills vs. Chiefs

Iā€™m @itsharristime of True North Fantasy Football & founder of the CNBBCL. I've teamed with MKF to be your weekly guide for Touchdown Dance selections throughout the season.

Love fantasy football and don't want the regular season fun to end? It doesn't have to.

Monkey Knife Fight will have games rolling for EVERY playoff game with no worries about getting knocked out in the first or second round. All of your favorite games with extra playoff payouts all the way up to Super Bowl LV.

MKF will be doing the $5K pool EVERY single day there is an  NFL Playoff matchup. . That's right, go 3/3 on your TD Dance picks from either Sunday game and get a piece of the $5,000 up for grabs each day. Last Sunday, winners took home over $800+ each on top of what they won for scoring all of their TD picks right.

One thing to note, though, is that there will be no slates, so you must win at each individual game.

šŸˆ  BILLS @ CHIEFS

Could we have asked for a better matchup for serious touchdown upside than having the best offense in the NFL, the Chiefs, facing off against the second-best offense in the Bills in what'll surely be a fun AFC Conference finals?

For TD Dancing purposes, we just salivate at the potential of a shootout between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. The current point total is 54, and with conditions looking fairly mild at a balmy 43 F and limited wind, this two young gunslingers could have a day. At the center of that Bills' aerial attack is Stefon Diggs.

Diggs put this column in the money last week, scoring a TD and logging his second straight 100+ yard game to lead all wide receivers in the playoffs receiving. Kansas City has an underrated secondary that allowed the second lowest amount of fantasy points a game to wide receivers. Diggs will see primary coverage from Charvarius Ward who Diggs matched up against in Week 6, turning eight targets into six receptions, 46 yards and, what matters most to us, a TD. And let's face it, who doesn't love seeing Diggs show off those sweet, sweet dance moves in the end zone?

The Chiefs won't like to see it. What Chiefs Kingdom would like to see is for Patrick Mahomes to be back healthy from his strange Divisional Round injury, and for the pair of Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill to continue doing their thing.

Even with Mahomes going down in the third quarter, Hill managed 110 yards on 10 targets and 8 receptions. Hill was also got mixed into the rushing game as Andy Reid likes to do, logging three carries in a game that was too close for comfort for the Chiefs. A healthy Mahomes will ensure that Tyreek will get his volume (8.9 targets per game regular season, 10 targets in Divisional Round), and continued utilization as a running option for Reid has me locking in Hill to dance in the Great State of Kansas this weekend.

The only thing that feels stranger than talking about Kansas City not being in Missouri is having a MKF Touchdown Dance slate without a running back. Both sides of the ball are devoid of legitimate workhorse running backs with a defined role and locked in volume. That's why I have no problem going to tight end and TD Dance favorite, Travis Kelce.

Kelce hit for us last week as well, with a beautiful 20 yard catch and run TD up the middle. The potential for Kelce to do the mambo multiple times is high against the Bills who have struggled against opposing tight ends and allowed the 5th most fantasy points to the position in the regular season. Kelce knows this first hand, having scored two TDs against these very same Bills in Week 6. With last week against the Ravens and Mark Andrews being an aberration, remember that it was the Colts trio of Jack DoyleMo-Alie Cox and Trey Burton that put up 136 yards and a TD. You can be damn sure that Andy Reid, Kelce, and Mahomes make sure that this game doesn't end up with a score of 17-3.

Good luck this weekend and look forward to shining our shoes for the biggest dance of all: Superbowl LV.
