There are seven games on the NBA slate tonight with plenty of superstars taking the hardwood.
Kevin Durant and the Nets face off against the Knicks in a battle of a cross-town rivals. The Clippers take on the Pelicans in a Western Conference matchup – Kawhi Leonard has been must-see-TV so far this year. And it will be a high-scoring duel between the Kings and Blazers, with a ton of talent on the floor in Sacramento tonight.
Kevin Durant has been on a tear recently and the Nets need him to score due to Kyrie Irving’s absence. He has produced 33 or more points 3 of his last 5 games. Durant is 44.7% from three-point-land and 86.55% from the charity stripe. The only risk being that Durant is playing his first back-to-back since his injury.
Elfird Payton LESS than 6.5 assists
The Knicks’ guard is averaging 4.5 dimes a game and that will continue against the Nets. He has recorded more than 6.5 assists in only 3 out of the 11 games this year. Payton hasn’t reached the 6.5 assist benchmark in the last three games.
“The Claw” feasts in the midrange and he’ll be giving the Pelicans’ defense nightmares in this matchup. Leonard is averaging 24.4 points this year and is a blistering 43.2% from three point-land. Leonard has gone over 25.5 points in four game this season and the Pelicans are allowing 106.5 points a game.
Brandon Ingram OVER 23.5 points
The Pelicans’ swingman is producing 24 points per contest and has scored over 23.5 points in three of the last four games. The Duke product has cashed in at least 6 free throws in the previous four games. Ingram hit three 3 pointers in his last game as well.
The Kings can’t defend anyone and that should continue against the Blazers. McCollum is recording 28.5 points a game and has scored 67 points in his last two contests. The Kings are allowing opponents to score 121.1 points and McCollum will be torturing them from distance. The Lehigh product is averaging 44.3% from behind the arc.
Marvin Bagley III MORE than 7.5 rebounds
Marvin Bagey III will have a fun matchup with the Blazers big men. He is averaging 8.0 rebounds a game and has tallied more than 7.5 boards in 8 of the 11 games this season. Bagley III is producing a career 9.3 rebounds agains Portland.
